The Client

All Iceland Ltd – UK is an ATOL registered Company based in York; it is a leading online tour operator specialising in the provision of quality holidays to Iceland, Greenland and Faroe Islands.

Jorunn Jonsdottir is at the helm of the company, which is owned and run by Icelanders who are familiar with everything that Iceland has to offer. The team at All Iceland has travelled throughout Iceland and have managed to secure the services of some of the best hoteliers and tour operators at the most competitive prices.

As part of their service, All Iceland are able to organise as much or as little of a holiday as their clients want. Clients are able to make use of the teams knowledge and contacts to put together a fully bespoke and individually unique holiday experience.

The Problem

The existing website was built about six year ago and whilst it had served the business well, it was beginning to show signs of it’s age. To a great extent the website had reached the end of it’s life cycle and Jórunn needed to establish a market leading online presence that embraced mobile friendly technology.

Maintaining the old website had become more difficult and with an increasing product complexity, the site had lost some of it’s simplicity and structure; the new website needed to provide a simplified user experience as well as sharpen up content and presentation generally.

Jórunn was keen to embrace social media more effectively by making use of an automated social media feed and encouraging engagement throughout the website.

The Solution

The new website is visually appealing, engaging and it benefits from an intuitive filter driven search facility. The user is able to explore all of the holiday packages available, streamlining their search easily.

The new website provides a great deal of information, it is confident and professional, most importantly the user is left feeling that the company behind the business is friendly, personable and extremely helpful.

Social media engagement features throughout the website and there is a latest news page as well as a special offers page. The CMS captures data from any enquiries and this data can be used to eMarket.

Each package/product is created via the admin portal of the website; there is a custom built and standard entry template form which handles all of the information relating to a holiday package.
